Our Story
come as you are
We are a community of women spread across DC, Maryland and Virginia — different cultures, different careers, different stages of life, all at the same table.
None of us needs to already know someone to belong here. Most of us walked into our first gathering on our own, and that is exactly how this club is meant to work.
What we do together is simple: we try something new, we dress up, we laugh, we dance, we celebrate. The rest — the friendships — happens on its own.

I created As She Is from a very simple idea: adult women need more opportunities to actually find their people.
Not networking. Not trying to impress anyone. Not having to already know someone before you walk into the room.
Just a space where women from different cultures, careers and stages of life can come together, try something new, dress up, laugh, dance, celebrate and hopefully leave with a few new friendships. 🥂
At our very first As She Is Founder Brunch, I watched a room full of women who were strangers walk in — and watched them talk, laugh, take pictures and connect. That made this little idea suddenly feel very real. And we're only getting started. ❤️
